Hide and Seek

I was playing hide and seek with Addie and Calla the other day.

Calla and I were hiding and Addie was seeking. Calla, in my arms, shouts out: "ADDIE ADDIE!!"
I say: "Shhhhh!" so Calla loudly whispers: "Ahhhddie Ahhhddie"!!

Addie insists that we hide twice and then she hides once and then we hide twice again. I ask why this is, why to we have to hide twice and while she only hides once. She sighs and she says: "Mom! Because that is the pattern!"
