Frozen Fest

The girls and I went up north last weekend for the second annual Frozen Fest at Alamoosook Lake. This is the lake where my grandfather lives year round and is one of my most cherished places to visit.

We went to the Frozen Fest with Mumika and GGG (Great Grandpa George) and had an absolute blast learning to skate (Addie), sliding on the ice (Calla), playing 4-way tug of war and other snow games, learning to hula hoop and roasting marshmallows. Addie made friends with a 8 year old girl and together they made up interpretive dances with a jump rope to the live guitar music. Addie also decided that the lodge wasn't appropriately decorated for the festival, so she took it upon herself to make decorations with the crayons, paper, and scissors she had brought along!
What a wonderful day.
